Organic Acid Analysis

The Organic acid analysis provides a metabolic “snapshot” into what the body is discarding through the urine.  These small organic acid molecules are byproducts of human cellular activity, food digestion and gut flora activity.  They provide to us markers of nutritional deficiencies, specific detoxification needs or disturbed metabolic pathways.  When excessive yeast or bacteria are present their metabolites clue us into to their excess so appropriate changes can be made.   Because the organic acid analysis provides us this window into human cellular activity, from it we can determine:

  • Cellular energy production
  • Metabolic toxicity
  • Detoxification needs and problems
  • Functional vitamin, mineral and other nutrient deficiencies
  • Amino acid deficiencies
  • Neurotransmitter problems
  • intestinal flora imbalances
  • Environmental pollutants

The usefulness of this unique profile, one rarely used in conventional medicine, is that it provides insight into so many areas of the human physiology.  It has implications for the practitioner into many problem areas, including but certainly not limited to:

  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Multiple chemical sensitivity
  • Intestinal distress
  • Joint pain
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Headaches
  • Early ageing
  • Vitamin and nutrient deficiencies
  • Environmental toxicities
  • ADD/ADHD

These small organic molecules in a healthy individual appear in only very small amounts.  But when we have disturbances in vitamin, mineral and hormone metabolism, energy shifts, or the integrity of the intestinal wall is compromised and muscle function is disturbed, these compounds can increase significantly, signaling where a problem is at.  Sometimes in individuals with chronic illness, autoimmune disorders or allergic illness we may find a number of abnormal organic acids being produced in rather high quantities.   The reasons behind these increases are quite varied, but may come from antibiotic use, excessive consumption of carbohydrates, immune deficiencies, genetic factors and toxin accumulation
Once abnormalities are detected there is a variety of treatment options available to improve one’s health and return to feeling well.  As such, the organic acid analysis is an extremely useful screening and assessment tool for a variety of very common health problems.

Psychosomatic Energetics

Many health conditions and disorders from asthma to chronic laryngitis to ulcers will often have a psychoenergetic origin.  The problem is that people often react negatively to the conventional therapeutics offered – prescription meds or psychotherapy.  We either don’t like the side effects of one or the stigma attached to the other, and neither do we like to take drugs for great length of time.

An alternative approach, Psychosomatic Energetics, developed by Dr. Reimar Banis, MD, ND, has been successfully used by thousands of patients to resolve the fundamental and underlying causes of these problems.  Through years of study and research, Dr. Banis determined that psychosomatic health and behavioral disorders originate from 28 different conflicts that take up residence in the human energy field.  In collaboration with Dieter Jossner, a noted biophysicist, Dr. Banis developed the REBA Test instrument, with which these conflicts can be identified.  And he developed the corresponding homeopathic mixtures which patients take to permanently eliminate these conflicts.

Conflicts are “energy suction pumps” that drain away some of our vital energy making us feel weak and worn out.  Since these conflicts remain suppressed (in the subconscious level), we often don’t know the real reason we feel so drained and burdened with physical problems.

We can picture the conflict as an iceberg where the visible symptoms (fatigue, infertility, reflux, etc.)  form the top of the iceberg.  The major parts of the conflict though, are hidden below the surface, reaching down in several steps to the very bottom of our subconscious mind.  The deepest rooted conflicts are located on a nonverbal level that usually can’t be reached by conscious thinking, making it difficult for conventional treatments, targeting only the visible symptoms, to be effective at all.

Emotional conflicts come into existence the moment when someone has to cope with an unbearable feeling.  The organism considers such feelings to be potentially a menace to the whole existence and attempts to encapsulate them.  When this conflict gets attached to an energy center a conflict is born.   Attached like an umbilical cord, it feeds off of the particular energy center involved, draining away the energy supply of that particular area of the body.  When the conflict is attached to energy center of the throat, for example, the individual will have an energy weakness there and be subject to problems in the neck area, which could be thyroid, chronic cough, etc.  If it is located in the intestinal energy center then we could see IBS, Cohn’s disease, indigestion etc.  There are 28 different emotional issues and every one of them can cause symptoms in the corresponding autonomic energy center to which the conflict is attached.  These conflicts are energy thieves that weaken our ability to stay well and heal

By taking the drops found beneficial on testing, the conflict is melted over time and energy flows back to the patient allowing the body to naturally heal itself.  Unfortunately we can also build up layers of conflict that need to be peeled back, a layer at a time.   On average most individuals are holding 3 to 5 conflicts.  And the longer we carry a conflict and the larger it is, the more we are inclined to develop a chronic disease.  Of course our genetics, our general constitution and environmental and nutritional influences also play an important role as well.  But the conflict increases the risk to fall ill in an unspecific way.   But the homeopathic preparations used helps to restore the lost energy.  Once the energy returns by the melting of the conflict, the body’s ability to recover its health is restored.

NeuroReplete™ Program for Brain Health and Function

The levels and balance of essential chemicals in your brain and nervous system could be the reason you’re not feeling as well as you should.   Neurotransmitters are critical to the “hard wiring” of your body’s electrical system. Your brain needs them in order to tell your body how to respond to internal and external situations that affect your mood, your level of pain, your ability to get a restful night’s sleep, your success coping with the stress in your life and how generally “well” you feel.  Neurotransmitter depletion could be an important part of the “puzzle” for your health.  And that’s because neurotransmitter levels that are not high enough can cause a whole spectrum of behavioral and mood disorders in individuals.

Your brain is constantly sending signals to your body at an incredible speed. Although there are many chemicals that serve as neurotransmitters, the most important for those feelings of being “out of sort” or depressed are serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine.  Neurotransmitters are needed to complete the circuits in your nervous system, and their levels in your brain directly influence how effectively messages are sent to the rest of your body.

Scientists have shown that a deficiency of key neurotransmitters can disrupt healthy communication from your brain. Restoring healthy levels of neurotransmitters could relieve your symptoms and help you feel like your old self once again.  In some cases like you never felt before.

Prescription medications used to treat depression do nothing to increase the amount of the depleted neurotransmitters in the body. They work by redistributing serotonin and/or norepinephrine and effectively tricking the brain into thinking it has more when it doesn’t.  The NeuroReplete™ program is unique among therapies for neurotransmitter-related conditions because it actually gives the body the nutrients it needs to produce new neurotransmitters. This changes the body’s metabolism so that it sends appropriate signals to improve mood, fatigue, stress and the way the body responds to all kinds of stimulation.

Neurotransmitters that are inadequate for an individual’s need, or inappropriately unbalanced have been linked to the following disorders:

  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Obesity
  • Anorexia

  • Depression
  • Anxiety

  • Panic Attacks

  • Migraine Headaches
  • Tension Headaches

  • Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
  • Menopausal Symptoms
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Trichotillomania
  • Insomnia
  • Impulsivity
  • Obessionality
  • Inappropriate Aggression
  • Inappropriate Anger
  • oppositional defiant disorder in children
  • Psychotic Illness
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Adrenal fatigue/burnout
  • Hyperactivity
  • Attention Deficit (ADD ADHD)
  • Hormone dysfunction
  • Adrenal dysfunction
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Phobias
  • Chronic Pain
  • Nocturnal Myoclonus
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Ulcerative Colitis
  • Cognitive Deterioration
  • Increased mortality rate
  • Organ System Dysfunction
  • Hormone Dysfunction
  • Restless Leg Syndrome

Prescription drugs do not increase the overall number of neurotransmitter molecules in the brain and central nervous system.  They merely move the neurotransmitters around, which eventually causes those same neurotransmitter levels to drop even further.   This generally results in the practitioner increasing the drug dosage, changing to a different drug or adding another drug to the current one.  The end result will eventually be the same.  The drugs do not change the amount of neurotransmitters in the brain they only work on the neurotransmitters that are there.  When they decrease to an insufficient level, the drugs stop working.

“Data on depression treatment studies needs to be screened when a literature search is done.  I believe that any study funded with money from drug companies needs to be excluded.  The best source for data appears to be university studies where no drug company money was involved.  I performed a meta analysis of over 20 university studies involving approximately 6,000 patients.  The following is the result:

  • The placebo effect in depression treatment is huge with approximately 30% to 45% of patients taking placebos achieving significant relief of symptoms.
  •  In all studies reviewed only 7% to 12% of patients achieved relief better than placebo when taking a variety of reuptake inhibitors in the various studies.
  • With treatment of the elderly (65 years of age and older) reuptake inhibitors revealed results that were no better than placebo.  Make no mistake, there is no benefit in giving people 65 years of age and older reuptake inhibitors.”   Marty L. Hinz, MD

The Blood brain barrier surrounds the central nervous system.  It protects the brain by only allowing specific molecules to pass into the brain from the blood.  Neurotransmitters do not cross the blood brain barrier into the brain.  If they did we could give them to patients rather than drugs.  So administering neurotransmitters is not an option for raising neurotransmitter levels in the brain.

The only way to truly raise the overall neurotransmitter levels in the brain is to provide the nutrients (amino acids, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids) needed by the body to build those needed neurotransmitters.   These nutrients will cross the blood brain barrier into the brain.  They are then synthesized into neurotransmitters which will raise the number of neurotransmitter molecules in the brain.   Thus, providing the proper nutrients will accomplish what prescription drugs are unable to do.  But even then, they will not work if the amino acids are not in the proper balance with each other.  This is critical to the long-term success anyone who wants to improve their brain health.  Using 5-HTP alone will eventually deplete the neurotransmitter dopamine.  Using only tyrosine or L-dopa will eventually deplete serotonin.  When depletion of one system is great enough, the other system will not function either no matter how high up you run its levels.

In the course of a number of years of clinical research and treatment involving thousands of patients treated for neurotransmitter disorders, NeuroResearch, Inc. has developed safe and effective neurotransmitter protocols using NeuroReplete™ and other supporting formulas, properly balanced and designed to optimize patient outcome.  NeuroReplete™ contains a unique combination of properly balanced neurotransmitter precursors, minerals and vitamins.  This patented formula optimizes neurotransmitter levels, keeping the brain’s signaling neurons working as it should in the brain and throughout the body.

It is most often found that when a patient has one of the above neurotransmitter disorders, they most always have at least three or more at the same time.  What has also been found is that when the neurotransmitter levels have been optimized for that individual, we see all the disorders improving.  The reason is pretty clear.  All the disorders can have a common cause, inadequate amounts of neurotransmitters for that particular individual.  Optimizing those levels for one problem improves outcomes for all others as well.  And with great relief for those individuals with these kinds of problems.
